As a company and brand that wants to create a positive impact on the community and as animal lovers, Actiswim & Co., proudly supports Be Pawsitive Siargao on its advocacies focusing on animal welfare and responsible pet care.
Due to limited resources and facilities in the island, pet owners and local residents often overlook their pets' and animals' welfare in general. Spaying and neutering programs for pets and stray cats and dogs are not being prioritized. This poses a bigger problem - as the population of strays increases, there is also a higher tendency of neglect and suffering inflicted on these animals. More and more animals have no shelters, no humans to take care of them. Be Pawsitive and Actiswim & Co. believe that every animal is worthy of love, care, and a healthy life. We are taking steps in ensuring that our island cats and dogs are given a chance to live healthier and happier lives.
We are happy to share that by supporting our brand, we were able to assist Be Pawsitive on their events and promote the adoption of stray dogs in Siargao. Through our combined efforts and partnership, we helped our beloved dogs find their forever homes.
Last June 2023, the sports event "Run For Kapon" was hosted by Be Pawsitive (previously, Spar Philippines). Despite being the first of its kind in the island, they were able to raise funds for the spaying and neutering of Siargao cats and dogs. With local and tourist participants, organizers, and sponsors coming together and supporting the cause, the event was truly a massive success. The said event marked the beginning of our steady collaboration with the organization.
On 9th June 2024, Be Pawsitive will be holding their second fun run - AquaFlask - Be Pawisitive Run. The event aims to support animal welfare initiatives, particularly spaying and neutering programs. The island community is blessed with an organization that prioritizes our fur friends, as well as participants and brands that share the same beliefs and advocacies. Aside from joining a fun and healthy physical activity, participants are also able to contribute to a meaningful cause.
